A really excellent minimal synth record, Arctic Domain here juxtaposes talk-singing with bouncy, airy synths that generally stay in the light without ever sounding *too* light and airy; there's a serious tone even when things are bouncy and colorful. This is thoughtful, fragile, elegant music that nonetheless never sounds thin or wimpy. Great stuff!

Though I think the followup, 'Pathways Crossed,' is a bit stronger because of the stronger melodies and better handled vocals (to my ear, anyway), this is still a very strong minimal synth ep: this is full of wonderfully full but not overbearing synths and propulsive beats, not to mention some good hooks, especially in the ultra-melodic closer.
